FREE Baskin Robbins Ice Cream!

If Malaysia wins her first-ever gold at the London 2012 Olympics, Baskin-Robbins, in supporting Media Prima Bhd’s “Dream of Gold” initiative, will give out free ice-cream nationwide.

The ice-creams will be available on Aug 8 at all 61 Baskin-Robbins outlets nationwide (excluding two kiosks at Pantai Hospital in Bangsar and Genting Theme Park) from 8 pm till 10 pm.

Every Malaysian is entitled to one scoop of the ice-cream.

“It’s Media Prima’s intention to unite Malaysians in one voice to cheer on our Olympics’ heroes,” said Ahmad Izham Omar, Chief Operating Officer, TV Networks and Chief Executive Officer of Primeworks Studios, Media Prima.

“If Malaysia does get its very first Olympics gold, what better way to celebrate than for all Malaysians to be treated to a free ice-cream. Not just any ice-cream, but one of the best-tasting ice-cream in the world.

“We’re happy to share the same vision as Baskin-Robbins and we would like to thank them for their great partnership in this initiative under Impian Emas Negara,” he said in a statement today.

The special treat is also for the first time Baskin-Robbins has been part of a mass ice-cream giveaway in Malaysia to commemorate such a historic moment in this country.

“We want the happiness to continue beyond that night. Early birds, who turn up at our event will not only get a free scoop, but also exclusive vouchers offering the sweetest deals,” said Cheah See Yeong, President of Golden Scoop Sdn Bhd, Baskin-Robbins’ partner in Malaysia.

“This will be one of our largest giveaways to date as it involves nearly all Baskin-Robbins restaurants across Malaysia. Customers may choose from any of our 31 flavours available in our stores.

“The best picks that symbolise this momentous event are our Gold Medal Ribbon and World Class Chocolate.

“We want all Malaysians to enjoy this sweet success and the best way to share this significant moment together is through a scoop of Malaysia’s favourite Baskin-Robbins ice-cream.

“This is a joyful occasion and we want each and every Malaysian to celebrate,” Cheah added.
